- Remaining of a hut. There was an avalanche a few years back that swept some huts away.
- The railing beside the hut is the Osada Ridge. This ridge was the trail which people at the radar station that was at the top of the summit took during winter time. Osada is the name of a famous carrier who carried food and other items to the radar tower. The railing was installed after he was blown off the ridge to his death. The rails helps climbers to hold on during strong wind so they won't be blown away.
- meteorological and emergency hut. It's pretty new, but many people have died here after being stranded here during winter.
- Look up. That's the Akaishi (Red rock) 8th station hut.
- Akaishi 8th station hut. This hut is only opened during the summer July and August months. If you haven't made any reservation and became too tired out to climb up and down any further, the best bet is to stay at this hut. Other huts usually don't let you in without a reservation. This hut only becomes full during the Fuji Ekiden weekend.
This is known as one of the best hut on Mount Fuji. They say that staffs are friendly and nice and you'll be able to eat as much rice as you can. Most other huts only give you 1 plate and no seconds.
- It's closed for the season now. The sign says it's against the law to enter and you'll be subject to legal laws if you break entry.
- Remaining of a hut near the 9th station.
- This hut was also swept in the recent avalanche.
- After passing by Osada Ridge, the trail becomes rocky. The trail will now come to the final long zigzag path to the summit.
- Gotemba route summit. See the Gotemba route sign. The wording on the rock pole says it's Gotemba descending route.
Fuji Ekiden goes to a Fujimiya Sengenjinjya shrine to the left.
