Climbing from Gotemba i5/13j

- Click on the picture to enlarge it. The poles on he left side running from the center is the descending route.
- Look to the right. There should be a Subashiri New Fifth Station parking lot below.
- Hoeizan should be to the upper left. The is the crater made by the last Mount Fuji eruption during the Edo period. The sandy ash covering Gotemba route is from this eruption.
- The line running across near the center is the descent trail.
- Old 5th station hut (New 6th station hut). It's always closed. (12:00)

Looking from the side of the hut, you'll be able to see the 7th station hut still some distance away.
- The old 5.5th station is a little above the center of the picture.
- This is the old 5.5th station hut. The sign on the rope says to keep out.
- As you walk, you'll notice that rocks are becoming larger.
