Climbing from Gotemba i13/13j

  1. Back down to the Gotemba New 5th station. (17:00)
    On a nice day, there is a good view of city of Gotemba.
    It's 15Km to the JR Gotemba train station. If it's July or August and if you are tired out, I suggest you take the bus down from here. If you're planning on taking the bus, be sure to check the last bus leaving here. It's much earlier than the other routes.
  2. It's was already pitch dark when I reached Ryugahara (Dragon Field). (18:00)
    There isn't street lights between the New 5th station and Ryugahara and there are many trucks and cars speeding on the road. So, to avoid being runned over, try to get down to here before it gets dark.
  3. Finally reached JR Gotemba Station. (19:00)
